Flood insurance is a key part of your total insurance package, and a stand alone policy, covers the pipes of rising water during a storm. Homeowners police (HO-3) does not provide coverage for this loss. For most of the Pinellas county, your rate will be roughly $400. If you are in a flood zone or on the coast, your rate will be dependent on the evaluation certificate. Homes with an evaluation above the base flood evaluation will be rated reasonably.
